How it all started…
When I was in 7th grade, my math teacher kept a
TRS-80 into the classroom and the rest is, well you know. Some years later I
purchased an 8088, after that an 80286, and so on and so on and so on.
Great friends and people I just plain admire a
lot…
Curt Jutzi, Ramesh Pendakur, Josh Gray, Dr. Hal Alles, Chris
Sells, Joe O’Leary, and Ira Smith. (Ok, so they’re all great engineers and
scientists. You can’t blame a guy for the company he keeps.)
And the entire ATL and DCOM mailing list community.
Things I love…
My wife Jeanne, and my two kids, Matt and Cyndi. (Scored
some points there.)
My Bernese Mountain Dog, Sprocket. (If there’s food
involved, he’s on it.)
Flyfishing for trout and steelhead in the great rivers and
lakes of the Pacific Northwest.
A well-brewed, extremely dark Porter.
The multitude of concepts, theories, and ideas surrounding
the development of software, especially design patterns and component-based
binary reuse.
Things I hate…
Don’t get me started.
Articles I have written…
